How do you record from a Sky Box? There are no Scart connections on the Sony!0

I jumped on the bandwagon too! I got it from above link, delivery was next day! I have also noticed the live TV very slow and haven't managed to get sound out of it yet!! Do I need speakers? I thought it would work through the telly.
This annoyed me. The box came with a HDMI lead and optical lead but no phono leads. Check your TV for phono in sockets. My TV is labelled "PC/HDMI Audio in" and its the pair of red / white holes. Your TV may be different.
You should be able to pick them up from any half decent electrical shop. You can prob. pick em up from Maplins for a few of quid.
I ended up using the optical lead and plugging it straight into my amp.0 -

Thanks Hobo. Sorry, had PM'd you again. Will go and check the TV now, I have lots of leads about so will see if I can get it working.

You need component, DVi, or HDMI inputs as far as I can remember.....Be an amateur! Professionals built the Titanic, amateurs built the Ark!!
Be sure of always hitting your target.....

Standard CRT is certainly possible using component leads but won't look fantastic. To get the best out of this box you really need an LCD with HDMI
If you do want to use a Sky box but not pay £10 pcm for Sky+ then I'd recommend getting a 2nd hand Tivo with (lifetime subscription) from eBay. They're currently going for about £200ish. They're much easier to use and even the "wife & kids" have no problems with it.
The Sony is an amazing piece of kit but you still need to be a bit of a techie to work it all out.0
