Do you use your TV as a monitor? Is that the idea? Just don;t know anything about Living Room Entertainment Computers... but sounds good!

Yes, that's the general idea. This unit can act as a freeview recorder, and a DVD recorder, and an internet machine too. Main idea is neatness as it's a 1 box solution. Also easily upgradable for more storage, it's already HDTV compatible through HDMI. For complete experience you need to hook up to a Home Cinema Amp for surround sound (failing that, you can always connect audio to your TV provided it has an audio in connection (Most LCDs do).

Thanks Errole! I was going to buy the humax freeview box with recorder, but this looks tempting now! My laptop's on it's way out so it would this kill 2 birds with one stone?

IMO this is a great deal, a beautiful piece of kit, good spec, well styled. Sure there are better specced traditional PC's out there but this is a bit different, this forum can be a right pain, I want this but divorce can be pricier !

Thanks for this. Bought one last night, was just what I was looking for. I was planning on building my own media center PC with a shuttle box and components, but for this price and the time it will save me, it's a real deal. Plus it looks slick!

This is a bargain. One question thought, does this have a dual tuner?

Full spec here, certainly has one single Freeview tuner possibly an analogue one too.
