Hi All,
I did a credit card balance transfer from virgin to my Halifax by mistake. But Halifax refused to transfer to another credit card nor to my my current account and later agreed to transfer it to source i.e.Virgin. But Virgin says I have to pay a balance transfer fee again to re-transfer to another credit card. Please advice me do I have to pay a balance transfer fee twice. Is there any way to avoid these double charges? I been with virgin for more than 6 years.

Not sure how you could do this by mistake. You can appeal to them to waive or reduce the charge as it does appear to be a mistake, but they are under no obligation to agree.0

How can you do a transfer by mistake with all the details you have to enter!!?!?
Sorry but it will be a hard pill to swallow for either virgin or Halifax so then yes you should have to pay the transfer fee twice.0 -
If it was a bank error (they sent the money wrong after you provided the correct details) then they should refund without fee/penalty.
If it was your error (you popped in the wrong card details) then you'll need to take that on the chin as lesson learned. Still give Virgin a call as mentioned above, you may get someone sympathetic to your problem who'll maybe offset some of the cost.0
