Decorating a wedding car?

Hi All,
I am looking for some inspiration regarding how people have decorated (or intend to decorate) a wedding car?
I have an old Mercedes in silver and besides the obvious 'V' shaped ribbon down the bonnet I am lost!
I have ordered the ribbon made with the Bride & Grooms names on and date of the wedding and would value anyone help with regards to the rest.
Thank you in advance,
Gill

Don't mean to sound like a spoil sport but why??
Anything else would be tacky and presumably detract from the car2014 Target;

Agreed :T:T:T0 -
The only other things I've seen before is ribbon bows on the rear door handles and a nice flower arrangement in the same colours as the brides flowers on the parcel shelf.
Saying that, none of it is necessary, we took our neighbours daughter to the church for her wedding in our MPV after they were let down by the car they'd booked. All we did was wash and clean the car, remove the middle seats and cover the floor and back seats with an ivory sheet so they could sit right at the back. A ribbon on the front and it was ready to go, we also had a bottle of champagne and two glasses waiting for them on the trip to the reception.
Not what they'd planned but it worked out and they still speak fondly of it years later.0 -
Only thing I have ever seen apart from the ribbon, was flowers (to coordinate with Bride's flowers) on the rear "parcel shelf".
Anything else is overkill. Less is more!0 -
I like the idea of a pretty sheet over the seats. You could scatter it with confetti or petals.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I personally wouldn't .....I'd be worried that the confetti / petals would stain the wedding dress.
The sheet idea may be a good idea, as even in the cleanest of cars I'm sure that there would be a few stray pieces of dirt (having said that though I have a theory that reception venues push seat covers so they can get away with using chairs which really should be replaced and look so tatty that the bride / groom feel obliged to pay the extra to cover them up)2014 Target;

We tied flowers on the door handles."This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0

Your a bit limited due to the nature of the car, tradition is to tie tin cans to the rear bumper...
i think this may look tacky with this car, people might do this anyone once the wedding is in full swing..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -
Don't sprinkle Rose petals, my BIL did that to our wedding car and DH and I both got hay fever, spent the whole day sniffling.Wins 2015:
