Think Banking systems down - balances not updating
[Deleted User]

So after last weeks debacle I woke up this morning expecting the usual text from Think Banking telling me some credit had gone into my accout accompanied by a balance. Well, it said a payment had gone in but the balance was a couple of hundred quid short. I rang them to ask why was money missing from my account and they said their systems were down and that payments were not updating, and they have no idea when it will be fixed  Just a heads up to anyone wondering why their Think Banking balance was less than expected.

The lady I spoke to this morning was at pains to point out that their current problem is unrelated to the previous issue with RBS. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. All I know is that I am again left with little money in my account and have no idea when I am going to be able to access my money.
I should add that the staff were unable to access any account data.0 -

I have today experienced the same problem, expected the usual weekly text advising funds have been paid in - no text. Logged online & surprise surprise no funds have been updated from 4/7/12. Again I am now again without money for the second time in 2 weeks, & unable to access my money. This is unacceptable & I shall be changing banks without delay. Currently waiting in call queue to speak to money manager & just got through after waiting 12 minutes. The advisor was extremely rude - asked me why I needed my OWN money today to which I replied for food shopping & bills - he then asked how much I will need for food to which I replied £150 - he then had the cheek to say 'why do u need that much do u have a big family!!!' - yes I have 3 children. He then said that they may be able to let me access £150 of my OWN money but nothing for bills which I also need to pay today. I am fuming to say the least - my advice to any think banking customers - leave this bank without delay. Appalling service I am absolutely disgusted

Seems much like previous problems, in that the problem lies with the RBS 'backend'. How else to explain thinkbanking's inability to access the accounts and transfer the credits across?
They refunded last month's management fee as compensation for the last set of technical hitches.0 -

Hi guys,
Could any of you guys that posted in this thread tell me how long it took for your accounts to become active again.
Yesterday I had a payment go in but for some reason my internet banking and telephone service wouldn't work and it seems like there is a block on my account as funds haven't gone onto my card account.
After 5 phone calls and 24 hours later Im still being told they are working on the issue and can't give me a time it will be up and running again.
They also don't know what the problem is as of yet!!0
