I do know they cannot force you to take insurance with the holiday, if they try to make you do so I would put in a complaint (not sure who with though), as far as I know they like to check you have insurance, but we just say we have policy in place. We then go home and book the best insurance for us.

Have you got the details of your bank policy to check?

I'd rather not say which chain it was as I know some mystery shopping companies watch the mystery shopping thread so I'm a bit paranoid!

Sorry for the delay on coming back on this one, have been having trouble with car insurance. Thanks for clarifying, that makes sense that it was quote, most shop managers do want their sales consultants to quote insurance everytime, but no you don't have to purchase if you book the holiday.
