The OEM License varies from product to product.

Microsoft operating systems for example can be supplied with hardware, but the Office products should only be supplied with a complete PC system.

Often OEM licences have something within the T&Cs that the licences aren't transferrable from one machine to another and that the licence to the product expires when the machine "dies". This is particularly true of Microsoft OEM software.

Basically you own the software to use it only on the machine it was bought with

there's nothilg on the machine to link it to the OEM, especially if bought with an IDE cable !

Why are you paying for anti-virus software? Does AVG Free not work for you?

oem is ok, its the full product maybe with slightly different license regulations,
with regards to pc hardware check the pricing for both oem and retail versions, eg amd processors - an oem one may cost 55 but a retail one may cost 60 BUT the retail comes with fancy packaging, ;) a sticker for your case :D a manual of some sort :p but most importantly, a 3 year warranty rather than 1 year, i kno which i would go for
