You might have noticed my comment that it was all quiet on the campsite.
So I popped into the next village on a yellow sticker hunt at the Co-op.
I tripped, fell and broke my right arm in 3 places.......
So as I'm right handed and as it hurts quite a lot I may be quiet for a while!
Awww, bless you BB, 3 places?? What an awful shock for you. Hugs.
2tonsils, I'm not sure what I'd do. If it's things you couldn't get there and it's for Xmas then I'd probably order from T's.0 -
Agree with the others 2tonsils as it for christmas go for it.
Sorry to hear about your arm Born Blonde

OOhh sorry to hear about your arm...hope it heals up quickly.
Yes, I buy gluten free flour and bread mix here and have to pay 4.90 a bag! I don't buy ready made as they don't sell it here at all, I have to make my own. I can't eat processed free from foods from the UK as they have soya in and I am allergic to it. So I make my own with gluten free flour then I know what is in them.
I think I might order gluten free flour to see us through for a while and some treats like Quality street or Heroes.....they charge 19 euros for a tin of them here and I know they are only about a fiver in the UK. Even with carriage it is nothing near that amount for a tin .
Yes, I buy Greek all year round, and support them with extortionate taxes on top of tax we pay in the UK. I know we shouldn't be taxed in two countries but we are and there is no appeal process here. If we don't pay they could take the house off us for a very small amount of taxes owed. It infuriates me.
Thanks for your answers...think I might just browse Mr T online for the next few days.“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin.” Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC):A0 -
I'll have a look at them Kate, if it looks ok I can join then you could buy through me

I'm relaxing after going to w*rk and starting a much-postponed sewing project. I've got the cutting out and tacking etc in place so just the making up bit to do, prolly tomorrow. Great to have got going rather than just procrastinated.
Awfully driech here today, rainy and autumnal, but that's what one would expect. Does seem a bit hard that we've barely had a summer and now we have autumn again, but it's an opportunity to get reacquainted with my fleeces. Got a nice cherry-red one on tonight (£4 from TK Wotsit).
Hope everyone is warm and well-fed tonight. GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Sorry about your car Mrs C, that's awful. : (
Three christmas cakes cooked and now 2 gigantic cherry pound cakes seem to be taking almost as long. I want to get the dinner on!
Not very happy with the school's response to the bullying. They have a 'no blame' policy which hasn't much impressed me after googling it. The boy is statemented so the new Head hasn't mentioned it to him, she wants to get feedback from higher powers. In the meantime he has hit DS twice again today. At least it's in the open now I guess.0 -
Take DS out of school until they do something about it. You have a right to keeo him safe and they won't like their absence figures being impacted so might get their act together....
The teacher has said he's had lots of success with this 'group' idea, so I feel we need to give it a chance. From what I've read though, I have real reservations about it working on this boy. He isn't your usual nearly 11 yr old, he's had serious issues since the very first day of school. As well as the hitting, pushing and neck-grabbing he also said (with witnesses, not just DS) that he'd like to kill everyone in the class starting with DS.0 -
Oh my goodness, where to start? Sorry pants with names so in no particular order for the people involved my thoughts are with you
Broken arm must be absolute nightmare and I hope it mends quickly

Bullying at school , having been a victim of this I am so pleased to hear about the bravery of the victim in mentioning this at all. Really impressive bravado there. I really hope you can sorry it out. Hugs to all involved.

Belated thoughts and wishes to what seems to have been another one of those days. The kind that no one wakes up to expect, falls and unexpected incidents.
And then from seemingly early last night until 3am this morning the MSE forum was down...that's a long time...seems to be back in business now...

Possession - hope the bullying gets sorted, it turns you almost feral as a parent to know someone is upsetting/ hurting your child doesn't it.
BB - ouch! That was one impressive fall. Rest up and heal quickly.
