HSBC regular saver ended, start another?

I bank with HSBC and had a regular saver which ended after 12 months, since then I have invested that money.

Question, is there anything to stop me opening a new regular saver with HSBC?

If you mean will HSBC allow this then yes. As soon as one Regular Saver is finished you can open another :D

    Hope this helps.

Thanks skystar, that answers my question.

  • Think there 10% Regular Saver for Bank Account Plus and Premier customers
is the highest paying available at the moment since Barclays and A&L withdrew theirs.

Unfortunately I do not qualify for either of those accounts.

Looks like I will have to 'phone HSBC, as a regular saver isn't one of the options when I log in to personal banking. Perhaps it is a way to discourage people from opening another account, even though the first one completed its 12 month period several months ago.

(and finally, just to say the regular saver has now been opened over the 'phone, so now I am saving the 3,000 quid over the next 12 months for my 2008 cash mini ISA. Fortunately I have the money ready for the cash mini ISA for the year starting next month)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I had no trouble whatsoever opening another Regular Saver straight after closing my former one earlier this month. It pays 8% for regular customers (none of that Plus cr*p).

Yep, although they should tell their Customer Services that. They asked me why I had phoned, explained it wasn't an option, they said it should be and it will be fixed. Well mine is about to end now too, so they had no intention of adding it;)
