Fitting sliding doors (Wardrobe)

Seeking advice on sliding doors. Currently have two doors fitted in front of a recess in two bedrooms. Measuring roughly 2.1m in height, by 1.4m wide. The doors in one room are old and solid wood, whilst in the other are badly fitted mirrored type.

My plan was to remove them, remove any old shelves, fill and paint walls inside therefore giving me a blank canvas. I then planned to fit something like this:

And add a few extras to the modular storage. However I've hit a snag; the doors are too big. Some companies offer a custom made service but they're expensive. I'm also unsure of what size I'll actually need as most sites don't explain how to factor in the tracks when deciding door height.

Can anyone help me out?

A few years back I fitted B& Q doors into two bedrooms.

They needed a top and bottom track. The bottom one simply screwed to the floor. The upper one needed suspending from the ceiling to match the height of the door. They sell blocks that you can fit together like leggo to build suitable supports to suspend them on.

You could also build a simple wooden framework, to replace the blocks, if you were up for it.

You then need to fill in the gap between the ceiling and top track and I used conti board as a facia.

As one door slides behind the other you could allow one of the doors to overlap the other when they are shut if width is a problem.

    Thanks!

The problem isn't the width, rather, it's not a floor to ceiling install. It's and old, large cupboard that's been converted meaning the bottom is at floor level, but the top is 0.5 ft away from the ceiling. It basically looks like a very wide door frame.

I think the only way I'm going to solve it is to order doors to fit. I've found a company that do custom sizes reasonable cheaply. I'll give them a call Monday with the aperture size and see what they suggest.

When I was scoping a project for dividing a room I specced Ikea sliding doors that looked to be the best combination of quality and price - worth checking if they have your size.
