Anyone heard of this..

I claim ESA and was phoned today by some help group, she said they'd taken over SWAN and that they can help me with filling in my new DLA claim as I have issues with writing...

She also asked if I had any debts or housing problems...

Does anyone know who they are exactly, I apparently put that I needed support on a benefit form, I can't remember though..

thank you

Do you think it's this organisation? How might they have got your info? Concerning if you don't know how.

I believe that SWAN works with the Essex Supporting People Services. (it's called a 'floating service' - they go out into the community)

We have a similar scheme in Kent. Basically they support people who need extra help with things like completing forms, applying for benefits, managing their finances.

Our team do an excellent job so I would take advantage of this service if this has been offered.

If you are still unsure that they are 'for real' then give the council a call to check them out.

As above, I wrote it on a benefit form they said, but I don't remember which one or doing so..

She said they'd taken over SWAN, I just wondered what their range of sevices are as I'd like to get my DLA submitted as it ran out last November and my condition has worsened...
