Just checked my listings, and one of my competitors has under cut me on every item. Never thought to check this until now
so have changed my prices and will see if it makes a difference

Then he will cut prices again, then so will you, then eventually no one makes any money at all!
Annoying isn't it!0 -

Don't race to the bottom - no-one wins that way. How's your visibility vs theirs? Are you listed in the right category? (Sounds odd I know, but can make a heck of a difference for "browsing" buyers) Do you have good photos of the actual item, preferably well-lit, with extra photos showing close-ups of details? If you're a TRS then you may outsell them despite being more expensive.

It has been a wierd selling experience lately, sales seem to come along in bunches & then go quiet again. It would be nice to have a purple patch of sales like I had earlier in the year but not holding my breath. The free listing weekends always seem to have an effect on my sales as well.0

I'm a TRS, my photos are good, I subsidise my postage, so am cheaper on that, but sales have come to a total stop. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

So there are some of us who seemed to start selling as soon as the tennis finished- ha, there must be more tennis lovers out there than I thought.
I am having to list today which is not one of my usual listing days, purely because I am getting so many watchers and bids I thought I might as well take advantage of the upturn and list while it is going well. Then I'll be ready for the next slump- will that be the Olympics I wonder?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I suppose it should come as no surprise that my only 3 eBay sales in the last week were to China (two different buyers) and Australia... seemingly the two economies where eBay markets are established and the banks aren't penniless!"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

I think people are more aware of sport this summer than any other. I certainly am, though my new boyfriend is a cricket fan/amateur player and has got me hooked. We both watched the Murray game but I also learned a lot more about tennis than I had previously known.
So it's even rubbing off on me, the perennial nonsportsperson of our family!"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Well there is obviously nothing worth watching at the moment as my sales continued well over night!
If only photobucket would work properly I could get more stuff listed to make the most of it while it lasts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
