Hi,apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to put this, but this is my first time !
I have applied to several banks to reclaim ppi on my credit cards, with varying responses.
could somebody please tell me if the,"you have not provided us with enough details/reasons for misselling" is a general response and if so,could somone please direct me somewhere for a few more hints & tips.
i genuinely believe i was missold as if ill,my employer would have paid me full pay for 6 months,so i would not have been able to make a successful claim.
thanks guys

What makes you think that 6 months fully pay would prevent you from making a claim?
This is a bit of a misconception and even the FOS have been backing down on this on recently (yet early complaints saw it frequently upheld for this reason). SOME PPI will not pay out if you get sick pay at 50% or above. However, some will. Typically, it is the PPI linked to loans and credit cards (rather than standalone) that will pay out as the money goes direct to debt.
So, if that is your only complaint reason and it doesnt apply to them then it doesn t make it mis-sold. If they wouldnt pay out then its a different matter.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Why do you think the PPI was missold?
Merely having it does not mean a missale took place.0 -
