Cat Spot on Treatment - which one?
Comments
-
my old cat was a bit allergic to flea saliva, she used to bite all the hair off at the base of her tail. i found that stronghold from the vet helped this. it also kills mites which also cause itching and hair loss.
flea eggs can live in the carpet and furnishings for about 3 yrs, so might be wise to treat the carpet.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
I don't like using chemicals on the cats, so try and minimise that by using the MOST effective treatments less often. Advocate (stronghold) wins in this respect even though it is pretty expensive to buy from the vet. You do need to combine this with a good household spray such as Indorex used really thoroughly once a year.
Cats who react badly to even single flea bites (flea allergy dermatitis ) will need to go to the vet, normally a steroid shot will stop the itch/scratch cycle.
Remember that Advocate treats for fleas, worms and earmites, so it does offer value.0
