Car Insurance Help!!!!!

Hi

Hope you all well!

Can anyone please advise regarding car insurance; I have been driving for over 20 years but, due to ill health, have not been able to afford/drive a car for the past two years. I am now in a position whereby I need to insure a car but cannot prove my no claims (never had an accident in 20 years) and without a no claims discount, will not be able to afford to insure my car!

I have heard/been told so many confusing scenarios and would sincerely appreciate any help.

Thanks

Whether that is just under two years or over two years may be important - IIRC most insurance companies count previous NCDs to have expired after two years.

but i think there are a couple that will accept three year old. Your last insurer might be worth a call too
  • contact your previous insurer they will still have your details on record, and if your just withing the 2/3year NCD usage limit, then i would get them to e-mail you a copy of your NCD at the time you were insured with them.
