Best way to invest/save £2,000?

Hi,
i recently put 3k into an ISA (5.8) with ING.
I have about £2000 - £2500 left over to invest/put into savings.
I just dont know where the best place for it is. Ive looked at Witans Wealth Builder Share plan, as their history in the share market provides good returns for investors. But is this the best place for it?
Any ideas, thoughts?
thanks in advance
