No nothing about computers but

Computers are not a hot subject with me, so this might be my fault but I dont think it is!
I purchased a game today. Downloaded it fully until it was just an icon on my desk top screen, along with all the rest.

Clicked on the game icon and a pop up screen came up for me to enter the serial key number that the games company emailed to me. Did so, but all I got back was another pop up saying the serial key entered was invalid. An activation code was also required but the company (Gamesrocket) did not email that to me either.
Anyway I contacted the company by email and explained to them that the serial number was invalid, they asked me to take a screen shot of the message.
I tried it but it didnt work - Pressed the prt screen button and alt. Still nothing.
I dont see how it could work, its just a pop up message I get on my desk top screen and thats what there asking me to screen shot. Its not a internet page or anything. Is it possible? I have tried but get no luck! Anyway thats what there asking for.
They dont seem to be helpful because I have asked for a refund or alternative and they dont seem mention anything at all.
Anyone experienced the same problem or can help. I would luv to hear from you

have you pasted the screen shot into something, eg word processor, by doing control c after the prtscreen

Get the pop-up message on the screen, now hold down Alt and press Prt Scr (you won't see anything happen)

Next open Paint (or any other image editing software), click on on a new (blank) canvas, then hold down CTRL and press V. Finally File > Save As

A quicker method if you're using Windows 7, is to use the clipping tool.

Thank for your advice and I took screen shots as games rocket requested. I have got in touch with them countless times and Im getting no reply at all. Looks like I just waisted ten pounds on a game that I cant play:mad:

Thanks for your help. I got my game up and running in the end and I know how to do screen shots too:T

When you copied and pasted the serial did you add a extra " " space either at the beginning or end ?
make sure by pasting into notepad. games dont like empty space, they treat it like an extra letter, which is why it would be invalid.
