Problems getting a bill from Ebico!

I changed over to Ebico at the beginning of November and have yet to receive an electricity bill.I have had a gas bill and that seemed fine but when I rung to query the electric one they told me that the meter number hadn't been added yet and I was due a bill in April?
Six months seems an awfully long time for them to sort themselves out.Is there anything I can do to hurry them on?

Does sound unusual for Ebico - so

    1) Have you had final bill from previous supplier - i.e are you sure you are not still being supplied by old supplier. You can check with MPAS as to who current supplier is.

    2) Have you been given new account number from Ebico. If so have you tried registering for online billing.

    3) Try ringing again or emailing
customerservice@southern-electric.co.uk. They usually reply within a few days.

    4) Try and calculate for yourself approx how much bill will be and put money aside.

    Hi elektra,
In answer to your questions,I have had my final bill from BG and I am registered online with Southern but it will not let me input a meter reading.Southern are collecting a direct debit from my account so I'm not that worried about being landed with a large bill. When I have rung them on three occasions they just say they will get it pushed through but nothing seems to be happening.

Mine was late, guessing because it is EBICO has to go thru two channels.

The last bill I had from Ebico was December 2006, I thought it was unusual that I hadn't had a bill for ages so rang up to check when bill was due.

They said the bill was sent out in March, I hadn't received it but am wondering if this was porkies because wouldn't you have thought if I hadn't paid the bill within a couple of weeks I would have had a final demand?

I hope Ebico isn't going down the Zest 4 route!

Am still sticking with them until Sept to see if the prices decrease... then compare with other companies.

From my experiance, you can only submit a meter reading on the SE site after you have received an estimated bill. If you try to submit meter readings monthly, the webstie says you can't do it and even if you email or phone the readings through to SE, they don't get seem to be recorded.

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies.Seeing this thread again has just reminded me I still haven't had an electricity bill yet.I'll have to give them a ring and tell them to get their act together.

    That’s not my experience.

My bills are due around the 10th of Jan/April/July/Oct. Around the 1st of the particular month, I submit my reading (by phone) and it’s always reflected in the bill that goes out a few days later.

I never tried to submit a reading when a bill is not immanent.
Maybe they 'open' the account for readings a few weeks before the billing date.

Hi bengal-stripe,On the website I can imput a reading for gas but as I have never had a electric bill from them it won't let me input for that.
