AA Membership Renewal
I heard Martin Lewis on Radio 2 a couple of weeks ago stating that AA was one of the best companies to negotiate with at renewal time.
My renewal documents came through this morning with an increase of £20 on last year. Also when I joined I got £20 through a cashback website.
So I phoned them up and told them I was leaving and after a little negotiation then gave me a £49 discount, making it £10 cheaper than last year.
I'm well chuffed, Thanks Martin :-)

My RAC renewal came through, and as a 30 year plus member was £20 more than than a brand new customer...I called them up, they knocked the 20 quid off, and put my son on there for free...don't ask, don't get....Debt-free...and staying that way...0

the way both AA and RAC treat renewals is a joke
my RAC renewal last year was £120. I pointed out that as a new customer of the AA they would charge me £80 for the same cover. The RAC counter offered me a revised renewal of £89.... I joined the AA
the next year the same thing happended in the reverse direction - rewards for loyalty is not how either of them operate anymore0
