I need to book a hotel room for me, hubby and 3 month old for Manchester/Denton area for Aug bank holiday weekend (Thurs-Sat/Sun) as i'm attending my friends wedding. I was going to book the Premier Inn as thats really close to the venue but the prices are going up every time i look so am hoping to find a better deal. Can anyone help? Am looking to book this weekend (7th/8th July)

I would recommend Village Hotel in Ashton-under-Lyne, coming up now as Village Hotel Urban Resort if you do a google search. They always have affordable offers for 2/3 nights, now advertising short breaks for August. We live near the area and that would be the best hotel by far- lovely breakfasts, warm swimming pool for the little one and a sauna/ jaccuzzi for yourself+ starbucks! You may need to get a cab to your venue in Denton but it's only a 5-7 minute drive. Plus it's across the roundabout from Cineworld, Hollywood Bowl, all you can eat Chinese,Nando's. KFC, Frankie and Benny's, etc. Our first choice every time we go on short hotel breaks anywhere in the country with our 3 kids. Hope this helps.0

Just don't go for the Britannia in Stockport, I got what I thought was a really good deal...... it was dirty, the staff were rude and when I complained I was told "what do you expect for the money you paid"!!!! Premier Inn's are usually good, without looking I can't remember what is round that area tho.LBM Jan 2011, Debt Free Sept 2017 - best feeling ever

I'm sorry I have no idea where Denton is but we stayed at the gardens hotel opposite Piccadilly square, the travel lodge on great ancoats rd and premier inn Portland street and all were fine and cheap enough.
If you searched my profile, I've put a link for either Bogof holiday inn or 3 for 2 nights on a few people's posts asking for London accommodation recently, again they work out very cheap.
Sorry I can't post link at the moment x0
