Is this normal NCD procedure for SAGA

Hi,
Just received my first car insurance renewal with SAGA, very happy with the price and will renew.
However one thing bothers me in that no where in the renewal documents are my years of NCD shown, all it says is 60%.

I presume eventually I will want to leave SAGA and the new insurance company will want evidence of my NCD entitlement.
On previous occasions the renewal states 9+ years for example.

Anyone had similar?

Its unusual to show the actual discount being given rather than years - many insurers will try very hard to avoid telling you the discount your getting. A lot of insurers however do have a maximum number of years that they track to (5 or 9 being the most common) and once you hit or exceed that limit they switch to saying you have 5+ years NCD - which causes a lot of complaints from people.

TBH, if you know how many years you've got then you can do quotes to compare anyway and would only deal with the issue of the standard letter not stating number of years if you get to the point of wanting to switch

Thanks Inside, yes I wondered if it was SAGA's way of deterring me from leaving.
As I said above I intend to renew so will ask them about the NCD when I do.

Anyone else had this issue with SAGA?

The renewal notice is usually the easiest way to prove your NCD. The other way if/when you decide to leave is just to tell them you want it to lapse and ask them to provide proof of NCD.

I bet you can get it cheaper from Saga themselves if you go online.

But they are sneaky and wont let you do another quote as you have an account. You may need to tweak your details slightly.

They wont give you the online price though. My parents have been there and done that.

They will never use them again.
