can someone recommend a good, VERY EASY TO USE and reasonable software package that converts Word to PDF's and reverse etc?
I have found ALLPDF converter for $49 and it seems quite simple, but if anyone knows better I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

I use this for converting PDFs into Word: http://www.nuance.com/products/pdf-reader/index.htm
It's free, it's very good.
To turn Word into PDF, i use this http://www.primopdf.com/0 -
OpenOffice (and its side projects like LibreOffice & NeoOffice) is free and will certainly open Doc and Docx files and allow you to save them to PDF. I think it can open PDFs and save as Doc/Docx but I am not certain.
Remember of cause depending on how the PDFs have been created that you may not be able to do very much with them even after converting them (eg if it is a scan and thus each page is simply a single image)0 -
Just install a pdf writer. This works like a printer and can be selected in the Print dialog in any application that can output to a printer. Instead of sending the output to a physical printer, it prompts you for a filename and writes a pdf file.
For a list of recommended free pdf writers, take a look at Gizmo. I've used CutePDF Writer for years and find it indispensable.0 -
PDF's are designed to be 'shrink-wrapped', whilst some can be converted back to a Word doc, not all can, or some can but are NASTY!. Just be aware.0

Word can save as PDF.
If you keep your originals in Word then you can save and share them as PDF.
Converting from PDF to word depends upon what was put into the PDF, and it's never going to come out 100%. (If the document was a scan then it's likely to be an embedded bitmap of some sort rather than editable text.)0
