I hope so. Over the last few months/weeks I've picked up a few European Investment Trusts and even the odd European property company.

Gadget I think you're right to be selective but for sure the Euro holds no great surprises for the big corps who have had plenty of time to prepare their balance sheets.

I thought I remembered you mentioning your nibble at Europe but I couldn't find it.

Personally I think it is a bit early but I heard from a spanish friend who was picking up a few shares on the slaughtered IBEX
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance

oh, ok. but my point was that i don't think you should worry much about the euro/sterling exchange rate if you're investing in euro-area shares.

My worst performing holding so far is up 8% and my best 16%. OK, it's early days, and fortune may throw up even better buying opportunities, but I'm glad that I seized the previous one.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.
