Fading a facial scar

I bought some bio oil from the chemist last year to try and hide scars, I used it 2-3 times a day for about six months and I've got to be honest they didn't look any different! However since September (my wedding) I've stopped using it and they look much better. Weird.
I did read before buying it that it affects people's skin differently so it may work much quicker for youI didn't think it was expensive either, less than £10 and if it works then that's great!

As well as oil massage you might want to look at regularly using spf.
DH had a mole removed and the plastic surgeon explained that the scar will always be more prone to darkening than the surrounding skin so to use spf to try and prevent that. He also reminded him that we should be wearing spf every day anyway.
On scars I use vitamin e from Holland or Barrett, that comes in a bottle. I've also read about people using the capsules you can buy, by piercing a hole with a pin, squeezing a drop out and then plugging the hole with the pin for the next time.0
