3 Piece Suite Insurance

Hi all, long time browser, first time poster... since this seemed like a question you guys might have an answer, or at least opinion on.
I've recently come across (found in the loft! :mad: ) a warranty that I took out on a 3 piece suite 5 years ago, protecting it against damage. It includes a cashback option, that if I make no claims, I can get the cost of the policy back, as long as I claim within 30 days of that policy expiring.
Unfortunately, I'm just a few days out of date of that (ran out on 15/03... how frustrating!). However, I'm wondering if anyone has successfully made a claim under these circumstances. Part of me wonders if such a cash back offer can expire like this...
Any thoughts?
