protx vs secpay

I always thought that protx would be the best payment method to use but I had another look at secpay and it seemed competitive. Have they changed their rates recently? I was convinced I checked them out a year ago and protx was the clear winner.

Anyone had any experience of either of them?

How easy is it to set up and account?
How easy is it to you?
Customer service etc?
Any catches?

Any information would be appreciated.

I use Protx and have found them to be very good and can recommend them. They had an offer when I joined to pay a year in advance and a big discount. The software seems fine and they are very helpful via email and phone (ordinary number). I use Actinic for a shopping cart and Protx is easily integrated with that.

I use SecPay & have been happy so far. They have just been bought/taken over by PayPoint so it will be interesting to see if the rates stay the same.

Protx is highly recommended, very easy setup, great phone/email support, great docs online to help you, only £20 per month for upto 2000 transactions otherwise 10p per transaction and they are run by sage.
