Public Liability Insurance

I'm a freelance Web Developer who is looking to get public liability insurance, but I find the market rather confusing. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I might be able to get advice or comparisons on this?

Some people have also told me that I need personal indemnity insurance, whereas others have said this is a waste of money. Any thoughts on personal indemnity insurance?

Thank you for reading this boring post.
