I've found that the vapex batteries last a lot longer than the uniross ones.

They also sell the NiMh+ which don't lose their charge if left for a while.

My point is quite clear...although my figures are exagerated to protect the innocent!....no matter how much you are "green taxed" or how green everybody in europe try to be,china will negate that saving 1000 times over......so how much would you need to be taxed to make a difference...............and remember you would need to be a taxpayer......as gordon brown stated in the budget yesterday,unless you are on benefit or recieving tax credits of some sort,the person that pays most is the humble uk working man/woman just trying to better themselves and their family,running a car and going on holiday abroad once or twice a year......it's a fact,people earning around 16,000 a year will pay more tax......more income tax....more fuel tax...more ciggie tax....more drink tax....more council tax...more travel tax,and it is these people who are expected to pay for green policies....................wake up and smell the Co2............

Many thanks I have just taken your tip and stocked up on batteries from Component-Shop ( and would also recommend them.

I bought the USB 9hr charger + 4 x 2700mAh NiMH AAs for £6.75 + the 4 x 2700mAh NiMH AAs on their own for £4.25 plus £2 P&P

Hopefully the kids will now stop raiding our cameras when the mouse batteries run out!
