Mine took a few months to come through but once it had I could start afresh. But this was not to kick start credit again, mine was to save money and only pay cash. Also to wait a couple of years before I could have a debit card, which I got eventually. Then I found a credit card company and asked for a limit of £200 but used it only a couple of times and then cancelled it. From then I asked for an overdraft facility which I got and that added to my credit rating. Yesterday I managed to get a mortgage. Dont get me wrong it takes time, but if you do those little things it makes a big difference

I made an offer of F&F which my provider (pls don't shout at me I didn't know when we set it up) dfd says is a really good offer that they are almost sure will be accepted. But after 8 weeks I am still waiting to hear if it's been accepted! DFD has not replied to emails and we've been unable to get through by phone! I have cancelled my direct debit and expect to make the F&F payment next Friday!

I think it's cos dfd employed a company to look into PPI (which I didn't have which i told them, but I was told I had to allow them to look) and bank charges.

Firstly this organisation put all the debt in my name - my husband had half of it - again I told them, but they didn't listen, so some creditors have written to me to say they don't have anything in my name -strange that eh?! - the rst are confirming what I said - no PPI! Worse still is that their focus on PPI means they haven't looked at charges! As only EGG stopped applying charges and everyone else piled them on, there could be a substantial amount there to come off the debt! Really annoying as I want it gone and idiots who are after a fast buck searching for PPIs seem to be holding me back!
