Bank account to use at the Post Office

Hi I am wanting a general bank account that will allow me to deposit and withdraw at post offices, I can't find any post office services offering them but they could, a card general card account would be better as its easy to carry it around in my wallet and it gives me access to atms and chip and pins services but I want to use it to save for the future as well as emergencies, I find the post office much more accessible than banks and driving a lot in the countryside find them more convenient to use.
Anyone help me and suggest a service that would give ne these options?
Thanks

I understand the co-operative current accounts have this facility.0

Yep, Coop, I find it easier to deposit at Post office rather than Branches of other banks

Here are the bank accounts that can be accessed at the PO.

If you want to save as well why not open an online current account and savings account with one of those banks (the best one of course) then you can transfer back and forth online and then withdraw/payin at the PO.0 -
The Co-Operative is your best bet if you want an account to use at the Post Office. You can pay in cash, withdraw cash, and deposit cheques at any Post Office in the country which is pretty handy.0

If you look at the post above yours you will see that there are many banks offering the same service.0

Smile bank, which is owned by the co-op pays interest on current accounts also0

For now - I think they just sent out updated terms and conditions to all customers saying they'll stop paying interest in August.
Yep. They will stop paying interest on 6th August 2012.

Not that 0.12%AER is worth getting too excited about.
