Neff CeramiClean experiences

Looking at new appliances for a new kitchen, I *had* settled on a Neff pyrolytic single oven and combi oven. However, these will be sited side-by-side and I've learnt that due to a difference in fascia height, the fascias and handles don't align.

Neff say that to align correctly, I need an oven model with a foldaway door. None of these models are pyrolytic, but they have some sort of ceramic liners and a cleaning program.

Can anyone offer their experience of how good these liners are compared to pyrolytics, or indeed models from any other manufacturer?

I have the Neff oven with the fold away door and am very happy with it.

Never having had a pyrolytic oven I can't compare the self cleaning liners with that, but other than a quick wipe over, I never have to actually clean the oven. Having the fold away door is a real boon in a more compact kitchen and gives you full access to the oven when you do want to wipe it over.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

CeramiClean liners will never be as good as pyrolitic cleaning. However, if you want the slideaway door, you havent got a choice. The trick to keep your oven as clean as possible it to go for a series 3 or higher oven and keep an eye on the ceramiclean liners and use the intensive cleaning function regularly and as soon as the liners start to look slightly 'glossy' as fat deposits build up.

The slideaway door is a brilliant idea so its well worth the compromise.

  • Thanks for your answers.

I can't accommodate an eye level double oven, so what I really want is a pyrolitic oven and a microwave combi that works well as a fan oven, to be situated side-by-side under the counter.

I've seen options from AEG that seem to tick the boxes, but I find myself coveting Neff...

If you need a proper combi microwave get the c67p70. Its a pyro combi and use it to do your 'messy' cooking.

I thought of that, but it's a series 5 and a bit pricey. Plus I'd also feel compelled to get a series 5 oven to match, pushing the price up even higher!
