£100 cover on credit card

Hi guys!
I bought some goods from an internet shopping site and spent £170 on my credit card.
I then returned around about £120 worth of goods as they did not fit (clothes).
Basically long story short, I was only refunded £50 because £70 worth of stuff "disappeared" Whether it was stolen through royal mail or they have made a mistake etc I'm not sure.
What are the chances I can claim this back through my credit card company seeing as I spent over £100
Keeping in mind that I can't find my receipt from the post office anywhere!
(I keep all my receipts and the one I need goes walk about!!)

If the site has proof of delivery, a claim will not work, as they completed the agreement.
Returning unwanted goods back to the supplier doesn't come under S75.
Surely you used a registered medium of returning the clothes, and insured them to an appropriate amount, so you'll be able to claim from the post office for losing them.0 -

Unfortunately no.
It was a prepaid free delivery to a P.O. Box.
Basically I filled in the returns form and stuck the sticker on the box with the address etc on it.
Celo-taped it to the MAX as I was paranoid that it might be opened.
The only thing I have as a record of the return is the receipt from the post office with the weight on it. Which is what the company is asking for.
And unfortunately I have misplaced it.....
I feel like just giving up as I am getting absolutely no where with either the post office or this company.

Your Certificate of Posting remains the key. With this you will be refunded in full (as they can claim the cost from Royal Mail). Without, you'll be left to carry the loss. Your CoP should have been remained until the refund was paid back to your card - there is no other mechanism available.0
