horrid smell in our back garden

We have developed a really nasty smell in our back garden. It smells like animal urine but we can`t fathom what animal it is.We have in the past had rats under our shed .We have put down bait incase they were back but nothing has taken the bait, and nothing has been seen.We have been scrubbing with Jeyes fluid which is masking the smell for about a day or so but then its back again. How can we find out what is causing this horrible smell?

    Set up CCTV cameras!

It's probably a fox. They are creatures of habit.

Sorry, but do you live in a town, in the country, it may not just be in your garden, it may be in everybodys garden, a farmer muck spreading or something like that, possibly, have youspoken to the neighbours.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Got up this morning and there is no smell but last night it was horrendous and I know by late afternoon it will be back.We do live in quite a rural area and have a few farms quite close by.
We have a dog and we regularly have the neighbourhood cats in our garden so surely they would have seen off any rats .We have on several occasions put down rat poison as we have had a problem in the past. How can I get rid of this awful smell,I thought Jeyes fluid would have done it .

It's not the privet hedge flower is it? They stink like wee.

No privets anywhere near and the smell is nowhere near our drains.
Still no smell so far today
