NatWest Bank Account

Hello all,
I received a check from a NatWest business account for services rendered but due to the IT issues being experienced by NatWest right now, I'm a bit concerned about depositing the check as it may put the account in overdraft.
What's my best option for finding out the account balance in this NatWest account? I have the swift ID and account number, although I am not on that account, obviously.
Thanks

You can't. If NatWest told you the balance they would be breaking the Data Protection Act.
You have two choices. Specially present the cheque, which will get you an answer on whether the cheque will be paid or not quickly but will cost you about a tenner, or pay it in normally and wait until the 6th day of clearing before drawing on the funds (after day 6 a cheque cannot be deducted from your account unless fraud is involved.) Give up trying to get the balance of the company's account as you will rightfully not get it.urs sinserly,

Can I call NatWest and mention that I have a check for X amount and if I deposit it, would it clear? Can they tell me Yes or No?0

No, they won't. And in any case they will make the decision to pay based on the balance on the day they cheque is presented, which may be different to the balance on the day you call them.
There are only two options as given by JuicyJesus.0
