MFest Festival Cancelled: Incurred Costs and Consumer Rights?

The concert has been cancelled, you'll be refunded for the tickets (you should get the booking fee back too so will have to push for this)
The hotel is a completely separate arrangement and the room is still available so no refund will be due for this. The only way your card issuer would consider dealing with the room booking is if it was part of a package.
I don't live far from Harewood House, there is no way i would consider going to a festival there this weekend ! There are severe weather warnings in place for floods and torrential rain, this was predicted at the beginning of the week. It's been bucketing down here since 7am this morning, we have local flooding already.0 -
Just noticed, on the Mfest website it says information on ticket refunds will be available on Mon 9 July.0

Tickets £95
Booking fee £12
Hotel £150 split over several nights I assume (and so each night is worth £X)
Plus I doubt you could claim on the Hotel from the Credit card anyway, as it wasn't a package deal and theres nothing stopping you from getting to the hotel and fulfilling what you've paid for.
If the Concert was £101 for your ticket than maybe (though you couldn't claim for the other ticket as it doesn't belong to you) you have a case for concequencial(SP) loss.
As it stands you should be entitled to your refund on the £214 for the tickets and its down to goodwill for the hotel
I'm interested in this.
Original post mentions rooms, rather than a room, so I'm presuming the £150 was, say 2 rooms at £75. Meaning it can't be claimed back because its not above £100?
I think I'll stick to hotel + festival ticket packages in the future, getting a refund seems almost impossible. Or booking hotels near to things I'd like to do anyway, incase the great British weather strikes again!0 -
Why not just have a nice weekend away anyway? The Hotel is paid for...use it. The tickets will be refunded...spend that money on a couple of nice meals in and around the area and enjoy yourselves.0

Hi, was dissapointed at cancellation but these things happen and was please to see that a refund would be given with no fuss inc booking fee, Got mine yesterday - great really quick but Oh, hang on they have kept £5.25 cos they posted tickets out.
Not my problem really, I know it's only £5.25 and legally they could have given me less but for goodness sake doesn't anyone do they right thing anymore. Have complained to all parties involved Harewood/Morrisons/MFest and Ticketline but not expecting anything positive back despite them all having cancellation insurance i'm sure.
It will be "not our fault" or "nothing to do with us" it's not like I have a choice to pick up tickets or a say in when they were posted. Oh grumble grumble......0
