Thanks for all the replies
Have the application form and it says
"Do you have an county court judgements, court decrees, bankruptcy, administration orders (what are they???) individual voluntary arrangements or any other adverse credit history, whether settled or not? yes or no - please give details"
So do I put no, cos they won't know about the default etc anyways as not a public record, and they may reject me cos of it when I didn't have to tell them, or do I put yes so they know eveyrthing, and risk them turning me down?0 -
Just googled administration order as wondered if that was like a default...understand what it means now, not got one of them :P0

Also, usually do they ask for bank statements? Last time I rented they didn't ask for bank statements/pay slips - they just got a work reference to confirm my salary etc0

The bottom line is though that if you want to rent a property via that particular LA then you have to jump their particular hoops.
Bear in mind that one needs no regulation, no specific knowledge, training, qualifications etc to be able to set up in business as an LA despite them handling thousands of quids' worth of other folks' property and money. Some of them also have little idea on data protection issues0 -
I ticked 'no' to everything and was fine- I have a DMP and multiple defaults, which I did verbally tell LA about and they said not to worry.
Does it mention bank statements on your form?
I didn't have to in the end as we based it purely on my salary (ie my income was more than 2.5 times the rent), but if we had used my partners salary too then they would have wanted bank statements and 3 years worth of accounts as he's self employed.2012 wins = £933 :j
2013 wins so far = £4,025 :j
July wins: Holiday to Marbella :j0 -
Filling in the forms today...am thinking I should just put no then? As if the default/adverse credit history won't show up anyways as not an IVA/CCJ etc...I'm just opening myself up to potential problems if I mention it when they won't know anyways?
I don't have any payslips as they are all like electronic at work now and I'm not in or a few weeks, and I don't feel easy about showing someone my bank statmentsThey haven't mentioned giving bank statements on the form though, they just ask for a "financial reference" aka your employer and their details
