How Long After Viewing....

might you hear the feedback?
We had a viewer yesterday afternoon - seemed fine and we're just about the only house in this area in her price range; although you can never tell if they're keen but on paper she was the perfect FTB that our house was built for!
I was wondering if it's a good/not so good sign that we've not heard anything back from the EA yet?
Thanks,
Alipops x

We didn't always get feedback about viewings on the house we were selling. Quite often it was such nonsense I didn't want it anyway.
When we were looking, some agents rang same day for feedback, some a day or two later and some (on a house we quite liked) didn't even bother to do so
We made an offer about 12 hours after second viewing (i.e. the morning after an evening viewing). But then, we are straightforward and didn't want to do any messing about (MIL suggested faffinf about with an 'expression of interest' for example)0 -

Ask the EA if they've contacted them for feedback. Might prompt them into action0 -
Think just depends on the person ...
First house we offered on we discussed at length, etc, then called 4 days after viewing to view again + offer .... Lost that one. Second one I REALLY liked - I viewed on my own, then got OH down the next morning and offered an hour later, gentlemen's agreement reached by by negotiation several hours later.0 -
As viewers leave your property (providing you are doing your own viewings of course) always ask them to be kind enough to give the ea feedback, be it good or bad.
You will find the majority of viewers will then take the time to report back to ea. Every viewer of mine did and there wasn't any bad feedback at all thankfully. But even if there had been, it would have been useful to know what it was they didn't like about my house. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

The Lady did tell me she'd provide feedback, so i'm just wondering whether hearing nothing yet is good - she could be mulling it over perhaps.....0 -
Unless the viewing was conducted in silence the EA should at least be able to tell you how it went and any comments they made at the time.
The problem with feedback is that a lot of times there really isn't any. Some Vendors expect a judgement and critique on their house, when actually the buyer may have just had a look and decided it wasn't anything special or particularly for them without there being any list of reasons to give.0 -
In this climate, an agent worth their salt should call the viewer within 24 hours and report back to you. BUT it could be that the viewer is avoiding their calls, or busy working, etc., mulling your house over, looking at others. I would call the agent and prompt them.SPC Nbr.... 1484....£800 Saved £946 in 2013)

When we were looking at an investment property in the 1990s, we saw one house which ticked every box, on paper. But we just didn't like it. So there was no feedback to give, really.
When we were helping our son find a flat recently, we all viewed several, and he told the EA what he didn't like about the ones he didn't buy. Mostly it was things you couldn't change, like the position in the block, or the fact that the front door was under the communal stairs. So really not much use to the vendor to know that!
However, yes, ring the EA and ask if any feedback was left, if it is negative , there may be something you can change. Good luck!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I've spoken to the EA, they've phoned twice now but have yet to have her return their calls.
I realize feedback may not necessarily be helpful, if it's just not for her but it'd be nice to know it's a no otherwise I think there might be hope!!
So, we'll have to see!0
