Refund Question.

Does anyone know... for example;

I have a £5000 purchase I made on a credit card, I was paying intrest on this for ... 3 years and the intrest was £400 lets say.

If the £5000 was refunded 3 years later. would the credit card company then refund the £400 in intrest, as the purcahse was effectivly cancelled.

I doubt it - you 'borrowed' the money from them for 3 years.

If you had paid it all in the first month then there would have been no interest, the interest was only due to you not paying for the item in full and not due to the item you bought

No. To reiterate what Dolly said, they've still had the balance loaned out for 3 years. Why should they lost out because you managed to score a refund 3 years later (kudos on managing that though, that's quite a long time after purchase to manage to get a refund).
