Looking for a mobile broadband dongle

Options
Hi there!

Me and my wife moved in to this property near Wimbledon and after applying for a phone line + broadband with BT i was told it will take a minimum of 4 weeks wait.

Now, i want to look for a mobile broadband dongle or a mifi device where i can connect multiple devices to it, a pay-as-you-go option (to use it only when we need it), has a decent 1GB (or more) of data limit and one that has almost very good coverage anywhere in London.

Any help please?

When i did a coverage checker it comes out 3, O2 and T-mobile/Orange have "Very Good to Excellent coverage".

I have T-mobile for more than 5 years now and their 2G/3G/3.5G signal is almost faultless anywhere. i would say Orange is so-so (as they share the same network now with T-mobile) and with 3 i know they "lease" or borrow T-mobile's signal and i heard their network coverage and signal has improved dramatically in the past 2-3 years. I'm not sure about O2 though.

All i want is a "bridge" in between so i can use the internet and top-up my dongle/mifi wheneer i want and wherver i go before BT comes in in 4 weeks time. i'm looking for at least 1GB (or more ) of data allowance.

    Any advice?

I have a 3 one, and it is bad to the point of being unusable.
The word "mobile" is a bit of a fantasy, as if you use it on the go (eg. on a train) it keeps losing connection.
Mine was free and I haven't used the year's allocation.

I use a 3 dongle, and works perfectly. Instead of topping the sim up, i just buy a new one from amazon, last one cost me £3.83 but currently at £4.50 (price keeps going up and down, but cheaper than topping up)
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j

Have you asked T-Mobile about loyalty discounts and if you can add internet to your present arrangement?

Older dongles off Ebay may not work on Windows 7. MiFis are good because you can connect things like iPhones or tablets to them or share the connection with others in a hotel. I think they often limit the number of connections you can have to e.g. 5. Need to keep the MiFi charged/ensure it can work off a power adapter.

If they are sharing each other's signal, why would it differ?

Same here - i get the 3 month one for about £11 - thats with a 3gb allowance.

3 is the only network that works where i use it. I use a mi-fi device, and have a few laptops on it and a wireless printer - all work great and speed is pretty good on my i3 laptop.

I could ask for a loyalty discount from T-mobile. but what i need is a similar device like a mifi where i can connect 2 or more devices to it. I currently have unlimited internet on my T-mobile account.

I thought 3's coverga eis good?
