Robin Hoods bay holiday with baby

I’ve been looking at booking a week in a cottage, the husband and I and our little one who will be 11 months old. I like the look of Robin Hoods Bay and have found a nice cottage but it does not have a parking space (as most don’t). The cottage is in the lower part of the village, the agent says there is council car parks for £5 a day but I understand that these are a walk away.
Has anyone been? Will it be a nightmare with a little one who can’t walk trying to negotiate the hills with the buggy and trying to find a parking space?

There are two car parks at Robin Hood's Bay, quite a small one at the top of the village-- this has been full to overflowing every time we've been in Summer, and another further away probably 5-10 min walk down to shore . I've only been for day trips ( from Whitby) and always parked at the top car park as this has always had space. I would imagine it would be a pain if you had to go up and down the whole time with a buggy, but if you are spending most of your time in RH Bay might not be so bad. The road down is pretty steep (and even worse on the way up!).Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0
