Robin Hoods bay holiday with baby

I’ve been looking at booking a week in a cottage, the husband and I and our little one who will be 11 months old. I like the look of Robin Hoods Bay and have found a nice cottage but it does not have a parking space (as most don’t). The cottage is in the lower part of the village, the agent says there is council car parks for £5 a day but I understand that these are a walk away.
Has anyone been? Will it be a nightmare with a little one who can’t walk trying to negotiate the hills with the buggy and trying to find a parking space?

There are two car parks at Robin Hood's Bay, quite a small one at the top of the village-- this has been full to overflowing every time we've been in Summer, and another further away probably 5-10 min walk down to shore . I've only been for day trips ( from Whitby) and always parked at the top car park as this has always had space. I would imagine it would be a pain if you had to go up and down the whole time with a buggy, but if you are spending most of your time in RH Bay might not be so bad. The road down is pretty steep (and even worse on the way up!).
