over bath shower directly next to window- any suggestions?

I have a problem where the best bathroom lay out will mean that the over bath shower will be directly next to the double glazed bathroom window (UPVC not timber), the window will be glazed with satin glass. A large amount of water spray will end up on the window and sil. I will ask the sil is angled so the water doesn't rest there.
Apart from thinking of another lay out for the bathroom, is there anything you can suggest to make the window more watertight/ less likely to rot/fall out or any coverings screen you know of .
Am going for modern look with clean lines so don't want a shower curtain put up against the window.
The window is quite big, about 1000mm by 8000mm and takes up the majority of the width of the wall the bath will be against.
Thanks.

I would suggest a strong light on the inside wall and someone outside charging a fiver a go to watch the shadow show. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

:rotfl: lol.
any other suggestions?
ps, saturn glass is pretty obscure and the window just faces my garden and nothing beyond, so i think the best people (for whatever reason they would be there in my garden) will see is a pink blob!0 -
I know that you said that you don't want a shower curtain next to the window, but how about a round or oval shower ring so that you can pull it around when you use the shower but still move it completely away from the window when you aren't in the shower?0

Damn. You have to be quick these days if you want to make a joke on here.:D0 -

I did think of that, and it would work. Aesthetically though it wouldn't go with the rest of the bathroom, thank-you though for your constructive input.:D0 -
Large window.
We have the bath under the window and shower at one end with perhaps 35cm wall return at shower end. Fully tiled.
We have put a vertical blind inside the window recess which has semi rigid slats. There are non of those link chain bits and the slats can be pulled well out of the way when not in use.
Thought about putting a slope on the window sill but decided against it, with the blind little builds up and it is just a quick wipe if necessary."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

This is an understatement. A window 8m long on one side is remarkable.0 -

Do you know, I didnt think of a blind of any description. i will look at waterproof blinds, thanks for this0 -
B & Q do some water resistant roller blinds which are fairly cheap. They are plain and have a fair few colours to choose from. Our shower is above the bath and next to the window. I've had one of these blinds for about a year and it's still fine. Think mine cost about £15 for a 3ft wide one.0

yeah thanks for that, have had a look on a few sites and theres some quite decent looking ones out there, pleasantly surprised.
During looking stumbled across waterproof wooden window shutters and also Waterproof Pvc Interior Shutters (both look like those plantation style shutters).
Anyone got any experience with these or any thoughts of how they would hold up next to a shower?0
