    God heverrning hall!

Just posting to say hello before I go and (attempt to) catch up from this morning! Hope you're all well?

I've got a tonne more stuff to put on ebay, getting rid of sooooooooo much stuff, getting money in the bank and getting rid of all my useless stuff! Might start on my book collection next!

BTW does anyone here have Netflix? Do they do TV series as well as films or is it just films?

I don't have Netflix but a mate does.. and ive watched tv series (at his) He has the US Netflix tho... (lives here in UK).... google "unblock-us" :D - Netflix US is brilliant. I think it's £2 a month to have a "US" ip address but £8 a month to get stuff you cant get here is good

    Evening all.
Yes, We have Netflix and yes, they do have TV programmes.
If you are thinking of signing up do the free months trial through TCB or Quidco. We did that, then tried Lovefilm for free . (Didn't like LF so went back to Netflix).
Got 2 months free viewing and both paid out about £15 each. :T:T

BTW everyone, not been on for awhile (health issues and busy rehabbing for another knee op on 1st August) but Hello... looks like I've missed some good glitches :o
  • I have just been thinking, Does anyone know if it would work if you brought lenor with febreze conditionor and use £1 off lenor and £1 off febreze coupons so it would be free??

Have tried this in the past and did not scan on "with febreze"

In need of help having to post from my phone!! I was using my mac book earlier and it was playing up a bit - whenever I closed the lid if I wanted to do something else when I went back to it, it had frozen and took a good ten minutes before it would allow me to enter my user password. I went out earlier and have come back to use it and it won't even switch on??? The battery is full so it's not a power issue, I have only had it a month and am pulling my hair out now. HC or anybody else with a mac please help xxx

Hi bensonsmum, have you tried holding the power button down for 5 secs to force it to shut down, then restart? That may clear it but if not give the Applecare peeps a ring (you did get the Applecare package right?!?! even if not, it's under warranty so they should still be able to help), they are very nice and helpful anyway.

    Evening.
Nipped on for a moment to say I'm a dunce. Found out what the problem was with my Tesco shop not comparing on Wednesday night that I detailed on here last night.
I must have entered the receipt details of a wombled receipt that really did have less than 8 items. I hadn't realised I had more than one receipt in front of me.
Therefore my Wednesday night shop did generate a £10 voucher:

    Tesco comparable basket £31.87 £31.87 £3.19
    Competitor comparable basket £21.00 £32.43 £2.71
    Difference £10.87 £0.56 £0.48
Asda was cheaper Tesco was cheaper Morrisons was cheaper
    1 x INNOCENT MANGO &PASSION FRUIT SMOOTHIE 750ML 2.50 * 2.50 2.50 2.00
    1 x TESCO SKIMMED MILK 568ML/ 1 PINT 0.49 0.49 0.49 0.49
    1 x TESCO EDAY VALUECHOPPED TOMATOES400G 0.31 0.31 0.31 N/A

    3 x OLD BAG RE-USE CLUBCARD POINT 0.00 N/A N/A N/A
    1 x WOMAN 0.93 N/A N/A N/A

Incidentally I didn't buy 1 x WOMAN as such....it was the magazine which has a coupon to get a FREE coffee doughnut from Greggs before 23 July
    The end is nigh

My Lenor coupons didn't scan today. The SA called a supervisor who refused to put them through manually. I didn't cause a fuss. I smiled and said, "Thanks for trying anyway. I won't bother buying the Lenor." They gave my vouchers back to me. I went to another T and they wouldn't work there either but the supervisor manually put them through for me. It is strange because I used one the other day in the second store and it went through no problem. I am wondering if there are two different batches of coupons available?

just out of curiosity, what did you say when you took them back?
I also bought them too this morning and got caught out, was gonna put it down to experience but having second thoughts now i have read that you took them back.:rotfl:Also, did they mark your receipt? as i need it to hand over when i use the APG which it returned.

I'm going to take mine back tomorrow - will just say I've changed my mind. As long as there is nothing wrong with what I'm returning, I try to avoid too much discussion in supermarkets - Asda and Tesco seem to be ok with returns.

The APG shouldn't be a problem as the APG isn't anything to do with the hair stuff (mine is on 2 more orange juices). If itis a problem, a printout of the breakdown showing what the APG was for should sort it out.

Got a migraine so wdon't want to spend too long on my laptop tonight, but just wanted to say
    A massive thanks Dreamerbea
    You really are an :A:A:A:A:A
Sainsbobs must be ordering in a lot more beer than usual due to high demand.;);)
Managed to buy 21 packs in one store today and there were still some left on the shelf.
I was really brave, stuck them all in my trolley and put them all through the same till in 3 seperate transactions.
I recognised the SA from when my DD was at school with her son about 20 years ago :rotfl::rotfl:
I told her exactly what I was going to do and said I'd chosen her till as I knew she was nice.:)
She was absolutely fine and said what a brilliant find and she was going to tell her daughter about it.:D
Obviously no rules about 1 coupon per transaction down here yet :j

    Evening all...

No shopping for me today - nearly headed out to Morrisons when I heard about the baby nargains but restrained myself and got on with the cleaning :(

While I wait for my MIL to arrive I'm contemplating a replacement electric toothbrush- exciting life I lead I know... at Mr T the Oral B Vitality Precision Clean Toothbrush is £15.00 at the moment- its £35 at Asda... am I right in thinking that if I buy this at A and some other 'bits and pieces' I should get a APG of at least £20 and my toothbrush would be free? Surely not but could it? Please don't laugh at me :rotfl:

just noticed I think it's oos at Asda but same thing at Sainsbuys???

    hi irwell girl

    Sadly not free, no.

Using your example, if it were in stock and compared along with the other 7 items in your basket, then your toothbrush would cost £13.50, ie the T price less 10%. You would have paid £35 and got an APG for £21.50 :)
