Snap Ant have things improved for you in work yet? I hope so :)

Dcon Blue seems to haev disapapeared since pointing out the beer glitch...hope all is ok :)

Hi QoC ... I'm just trying to do a bit of a catch up (one or two pages from the current page backwards just can't try to it properly) ... thanks for asking after me.

Yes .. I'm really struggling to keep up with this thread cos it's so fast moving (a good thing I'm not slating it) ... and life has been a bit hetic of late ... more so than usual recently.

For those that don't know (don't want to bore peps) I'm a FT carer for mum with Alzheimers and a single mum to toddler twins. I technically 'work' for myself but haven't had any clients for about a year now and so apart from carer's allowance and child benefit I live off glitches and coupons. I too have become the 'bargain bore' and people in real glaze over.

Anyway to top this there's been a recent death in the family (my cousin who was the carer for my aunt ... mum's sister with vascular dementia). His actions before he died has left a really messy situation and my aunt is now in care home and is no longer the owner of her own home!!!! As a result his sister and I are appying through a solicitor to the Courts of Protection for joint Deputyship (anyone who has experience of this I would welcome any advice/tips).

I've also spent the week ... moving my recently incontinent mother (still not getting any products to help with this) out of kingsized bed in the back bedroom into a single bed in the box room. (TIP: to move a soggy KS bed downstairs and onto the drive you cut it in half :rotfl:with scissors and a wire cutters).

Anyway, these are my reasons for lurking and not commenting as much as I used to ... but contributing when I have something of interest (unfortunately not often enough).

Right better get back to whittling through my store of Lenor and Persil small and mighty ... 3 machine loads a day can eat into a girls stash quickly. TG I have some little car coupons and a few conditional spends to use :T

That's a shame. I was hoping to hear good news that it had after doing my pile of ironing. Never mind. Thanks for trying. :A

Can someone please explain which ICBINB I have to buy - is it the normal 1kg tub (not light?), and does this compare with Morrisons so you can buy it in the same shop as Mullers... thanks!

    My brain hurts :)

Three women and three men are travelling by train to a rugby match.
At the station, the three men each buy a ticket and watch as the three women
    buy just one ticket.
'How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?' asks one of
    the men.
'Watch and learn,' answers one of the women.
They all board the train. The three men take their respective seats but all
three women cram into a toilet together and close the door.
Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting
    tickets.
He knocks on the toilet door and says, 'Ticket, please. The door opens just
a crack, and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes
    it and moves on.
The men see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea; so, after the
game, they decide to do the same thing on the return trip and save some
    money.
When they get to the station they buy a single ticket for the return trip
but see, to their astonishment, that the three women don't buy any ticket at
    all!!
'How are you going to travel without a ticket?' says one perplexed man.
'Watch and learn,' answer the women.
When they board the train, the three men cram themselves into a toilet, and
the three women cram into another toilet just down the way.
Shortly after the train is on its way, one of the women leaves her toilet
and walks over to the toilet in which the men are hiding.
The woman knocks on their door and says, 'Ticket, please.'
I'm still trying to figure out why men ever think they are smarter than
    women .

Well, it made me smile after my duff John Frieda shop!

Nobody disses Nikki or FK! I agree with everyone else Nikki and FK are lovely, helpful people. I enjoy spending time in their company on here and look forward to seeing FK's dinners! I'm a bit fed up with mushrooms and salads though. I think a casserole would make a nice change. :)

Oddly enough I did a nice chilli last night........not very photogenic though...just looks like a bowl of brown mush!
