Just back from taking DD1 for her pre op assessment- out come the tonsils and adnoids and in go the gromits. I think I might need a glitch on calpol come the weekend!

On my way back we called in at a different Mr T and I got very excited at the pile of mags in a pallet- grabbed a handful excitedly then remembered about the cellophane- did a double take and discovered they were June/ July issues celebrating the Jubilee:rotfl:

Anyway better news- I managed to find 1 lonely Rapunzel bride doll on the shelf and bought it for DD1 as a treat for being brave (I'm certainly more bothered about the op than she is)... just wondering now whether I should head out tomorrow to hunt for the Laloopsy dolls?? On second thoughts better do some cleaning before MIL arrives to help out during the post op period...

Thanks for your welcomes to me and your tips- :T

Having a day of plusses and minuses. Started the day badly, OH snoring drove me to going to sleep with the cat at 4.30 this morning! I could not even play on the computer as my mouse died in the night.

So I have borrowed youngest sons mouse for now until I get a new one. OH took me into various places to look at a replacement which did not help. Why do things have to be so difficult, every shop has at least 30 different versions, and expensive anything up to £50  but all I want is one that makes a scrolling clicking noise and costs no more than a fiver.

So It can wait unto I get to Sainsburys again when the beer comes back into stock. Then hopefully I can get one and pay with nectar points - also found a nice receipt so I've got points to go on :T
But on the plus side I have finally sorted out the car insurance conundrum. Eldest child has changed jobs and needs a car now and is getting hers at the weekend. Youngest child also gets his this weekend. Both new drivers.

Last week I was on the price comparision websites and on the phone to Admiral several times a day sorting out various quotes for various possible cars. Finally we chose the cars and the price comparision websites were coming up with Admiral as the cheapest for both offspring. We have a multi car policy with Admiral but last week there did not seem to be a way of getting all 5 cars onto one multi car policy. To me it seemed very logical but there seemed to be no way of doing it despite having explained the problem to numerous people at Admiral.

Today I got a call back from them and finally I was talking to an expert :T. It took us about half an hour to go through it all and it meant moving the anniversary date of the policy but finally it was possible, all cars with all the right drivers on them, the right 2nd and 3rd drivers, all with the right mileage, usage, NCB, protected NCB, age, excesses, age and values of the cars etc .... All 5 cars on one policy with one policy anniversary date.

I've not worked out exactly how much I've saved yet but on the offsprings cars alone I've saved about £1000 off the original Admiral quotes and also got discounts on our own cars :T.
I've got the name of this genius if anyone else has very complicated needs and wants to see if the impossible is do-able, as always its a case of keep ringing and asking different people until you get to speak to someone who actually knows the system. Well worth it in the end.

Also in Home Bargains they have various sizes of black cool bags - they have the Dunlop logo on them so a good make - ideal for bringing home vast quantities of OJ and Mullers in good order. They are padded and have a zipped compartment in the middle. Quite plain so very usable.

These could also be picnic bags but I doubt wether it will ever be dry enough again. Or over night bags.

Actually these would make good presents as they come in a nice cardboard box.

Also a zipped section at the side which fits the ipad very nicely so I can check out any updates on the glitch situation while out and about :D

    A fiver.

Children eh? Just what do they put us through?? My late mum used to sing me a song when I was little called 'Pal of My Cradle Days' and its a fantastic song that now i'm a mummy I REALLY understand!!!!!

My eldest daughter is 4 and struggled with her tonsils/adnoids for as long as I remember. The NHS refused to do anything as she hasn't had recurrent bouts of tonsilitus (spelling:o???) but it is having a detrimental effect upon her health/sleeping/appetite/hearing and the doctor who is doing the op says that she is likely to have a tremendous growth spurt once she can sleep without the breathing difficulty... great to get it sorted before she starts school in Spetember as well.

Right off to the pain clinic AGAIN. Hope its not another waste of time, fuel and car park fees. Really going to push for some decent pain relief, then my mojo might return.

    Good luck. :)
