Hello my darlings i have missed you all lately, sorry for not posting real life can be most inconvenient.
not been well this week with fibromyalgia, on diazepam and tramadol to help with spasms and pain. so been a bit 3 sheets to the wind. on days off thank goodness as i couldn't take these meds and work,
great news this week for my daughter i am so proud of her. she has been looking for a job since deciding to give up on her hairdressing course as she feels its not for her. she has worked very hard putting cv's round every hotel, shop, residential care home and any other buisness in the area. she has had an interveiw at a care home on friday and been offered a job 3 days a week from september when she turns 18 and is absolutely delighted with that. today she had an interview at a well known shop at 2pm, was told she would hear something by the end of the week by phone or by letter next week if she hadn't been succesful, well at 3pm she got a phone call from them offering the job to her, and guess what, she starts tommorow! she now has 18 hours there over 3 days haliluyah!
i might be slightly biased but she is an absolutely lovely girl, a little shy but very bubbly. i am so proud of her getting 2 jobs in one week. she has put alot of time into handing out cv's and letters and basically working her little bum off trying to get a job. so i think her hard work has paid off. very proud mummy i am.
i have had to do alot of skipping of which i feel guilty because i would hate to think that somebody with problems and troubles i could have sent hugs and good wishes too. so if anyone is having bad times i am now sending hugs to you all. xxxxxxxxxxx

I think that is why Asda very kindly gave us a Vitamin C glitch! well OJ one anyway. Nice that they are looking after us.

Just back from taking DD1 for her pre op assessment- out come the tonsils and adnoids and in go the gromits. I think I might need a glitch on calpol come the weekend!
    irwellgirl wrote: »
I'm sure she'll be fine and will really benefit from the op (sleep apnea, constant colds, snoring, poor apetite, glue ear, dribbling because she's a mouth breather) but my heart was in my mouth when they said I can go down with her- I want to be there and just hope I can keep a brave face!

The op is Saturday as we're lucky to have private medical insurance through my DH work... yep mil will be a great help and she's lovely... might have to introduce her to glitching and wombling!!!!!!!!! :)

    Hello irwellgirl :hello:
I'm sure your little girl will be absolutely fine :A I had my gromits and adenoids done when I was 2 and again at 3 (one gromit needed removing) and I only wish they'd taken my tonsils out at the same time. It's fantastic she's having it all done together.

I know Mum found it hard with me but I'm sure the staff will be fantastic and put you at ease. And I was only in theatre for about 20 mins, it's a very quick procedure :)

Funnily enough I do remember it very well, sitting on Mum's lap as they gave me the anaesthtic. I was holding one of those plastic fish living reef thingymajigs :p and watching the fish and the last thing I remember is the aquarium thing falling on the floor with a loud crash as I drifted off to sleep :rotfl:So I'm sure your DD will really appreciate you being there and just holding her and before you know it she'll be back in your arms :Axx

    Good luck for Saturday :)

blondynurse sorry to hear youve been so poorly i hope you are on the road to recovery very soon

irwellgirl i will warn you they 'go to sleep VERY QUICKLY' my DD1 had the same op on her 8th birthday, i went down with her and they said i could read her a sorry while she went to sleep, i opened the book and they started the anesthic i hadnt got the first few words out when i her eyes dropped shut and the quickly started pushing her away, i was scared something had gone wrong and burst into tears. was asured it was normal but ushered quickly out of the way as my DD was their priority not her blubbing mother. i think if id have been told how quickly they 'go' id have coped better so hold the tears in be brave till her eyes shut then go up to the canteen and blub into your hot chocolate. be back on the ward when they tell you shes expected up form recovery but dont panic if shes not back bang on the promised time some take a little longer to wake up than others.
i wish you both well and am sure everything will be fine

fudge cake brilliant news about your tax rebate really pleased for you
