Bananas are slightly dearer in Tesco. I use the smart price tomatoes - whole & chopped. Same price then you get 10% off as well. I use loads of these anyway. If you buy grengiant corn, Tesco is 2 for £, Asda is over 70p each (can't remember exact £). You then only pay 45p tin for the corn which is good value for the big tins.

If you are not paying for it, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold.
  • I remember from ages back that several of you are slow cooker experts so I've got a question for you. Got a whoopsied chicken yesterday and was wanting to 'roast' it in the SC - can this be done, or do I need to slosh stock in with it too?
    TIA

LOL, dont think I will be able to step inside S's for a while without feeling guilty. They are all still on the back seat of my car just incase police turn up!!!!

If it bothers you, just take em back and explain your mistake. CS person will probably think its very funny.

Thank you so much for this I haven't got any yet and I want some today!

Can anyone advise some other cheap items to make up the 8 please? Either things that compare favourably or things that compare and are dirt cheap? I was thinking along the lines of 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 carrot etc but does that work?

    TIA!

Also 1 carrot, 1 onion and 1 pint of milk. Plus tin of smart price carrots, smart price mushy peas and custard :D
