Thinking of 3Dogs today. :A
We had a bit of bad news yesterday. There was a bad accident where a car got hit by a train on an unmanned level crossing. It was my SIL dad. Shocked is putting it lightly. It just puts your life in perspective and makes you hug your family that bit tighter.
Thinking of 3dogs today:(And Jamsponge that is so sad:(Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

My dad had a job interview on Monday and they called him back for a medical with ot yesterday as he has a plate in his arm and they wanted to check it would affect his ability to do the job, it said there was no problem and wouldn't have an affect, had a call yesterday afternoon to say he'd got the job but needs to start this monday. He went straight to his employers and handed in his notice but the new job have just phoned and said the managers don't think he'll be able to do the job and are retracting the offer. He's now got no job as his employers are saying you've already handed your notice in.
I would contact CAB .
This happened to me many moons ago, was working in an office in Swindon for 2 years but the travelling was doing my head in so applied for jobs closer to home. Managed to get a job in Caerfilthy so handed in my notice. They had a collection etc and we went out for drinkys, then 3 days before I was supposed to leave I had a phonecall saying the new company weren't relocating their transport dept now, but I could still have the job if I wanted to work in Birmingham !!!!!
Luckily for me the company in Swindon said I could stay and the new place gave me a weeks wages as compo .
I left Swindon a few months later as I couldn't handle the travelling anymore and was starting to go mental :rotfl:Didn't have a job to go to though0 -

please be warned that these promo gift cards may have short expiry dates. I bought one on 25th June and it expired on 30th June,:(so just check the card itself if you get one as it is printed on the card not the receipt. Be prepared to use quickly. I got one the other day as well and it expires end of August
The ones they give out now expire in August but the original ones have 2 years on them;) Forgot to say morning everyone:eek:
Hapy Birthday to Fudgecake:bdaycake:
Nannylala and Auntielala went to watch the olympic flame yesterday and said it was so emotional especially as the lady carrying it was a friend of Auntielalas who is a cancer survivor.
Working today then going out with Mrlala but only on the condition I can nip to T's on the way out;)
Good luck to Biscuitmad for her wedding.:T:T

Dads just phoned, he's been to see someone in personnel at his old employers and they've agreed to retract his resignation.
He's not happy there as its no enough hours (20 hours a week) but its better than job seekers.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.
october wins - grants tumblers, £20 petrol voucher, sega console, iphone
novembers wins - £50 on walkers rainy day, £50 itunes voucher
march wins - dog treats0 -
Where do they usually keep the free ones? I too could only see the £1.60 blue mags at the tills
Am i looking for a pallet or other display stand?:o I am the wrong person to be asking that as just been to get some myself. I walked in to S, grabbed 7 mags and took them to the car to cut out the coupons. It wasn't till I had looked through a few times, not finding it that I realised I had picked up the £1.60 one.
