My bold and other formating icons don't work when I write a thread

When I click on the "B" button it just to show me the top on the window. Also when I click on the [Thanks] button it just does the same.
I have already rebooted my computer many times and don't know what else to do?????

I'm going to suggest you read MY post "This may effect everyone, who knows" a bit lower down. It seems users preferences may have been affected by recent changes.
