Xbox connection through laptop?

I'll be travelling with work for the next 5 months and the hotels we're using have a wireless network our company have access to but its one of those that takes you to their own homepage where you have to input your pass key.

I want to take my xbox with me for those nights where i'll have an hour or two to kill and i'd like to be able to link up to the internet to play my online games. As the hotels protection is through their website rather than straight on their router would I be able to just connect straight up, would I have to connect through my laptop once i've inputted the password? How do you even connect up through another device?

Its obviously not a critical one but it'd certainly be a nice thing to have whilst sitting there alone!

What version of windows are you using... Rememeber using Internet Connection Sharing for sharing with xbox prior to wifi adaptors.. If its a works laptop do you have system permissions re changing such settings?

So would have

Xbox --WiredConnection--> Laptop --WirelessConnection--> Hotel Internet..

Downside to this is Lag, and NAT would likely shows as Strict (Can affect hosting & connecting to games)..

Possible issues with hotels is if they block certain traffic \ ports.

Probably only know when give it a try...
