do i need to re-active my bank account to transfer funds?

Hi,

To cut a long story short, i have a savings account, but i haven't put money in, or taken money out in nearly three years. I was wanting to go online and open a new account with a different bank, and transfer the cash, as i think the bank im with now is utter pants.

Will i be able to change my account online as i think after three years or something i have to go into the bank and re-activite it?.

I also have a isa with the same problem.

Thanks :)

I changed the bank, i went into the new bank i wanted and told them, they called the old bank up, i had to go into there, they filled out a cheque, and i took it to the new bank and deposited it, and that was it, just writing this to confirm what to do in case anyone else has to do it too :)
